On January 1, 2019, Pastor Bruce Clark became the pastor of DC City Church. God continues to amaze us and the story begins in 1988.
Christian Conquest Ministries was founded in 1988 by Bishop Paul and Belinda Gaskins, who faithfully served as Senior Pastors until Reverend Paul Gaskins passing in January 2013. Together, they served the Washington Metropolitan area for over thirty-eight years. During Reverend Gaskins tenure, he ministered and shepherded leaders through the United States.
On July 6, 2008, the Lord joined Christian Conquest Ministries and The Word of God Church (Founder, Apostle Robert Howard) to become one church. The newly formed covenant ministry was named Christian Conquest Word of God Church.
On October 5, 2013, Pastor Dale and First Lady Diane Wafer were installed as Senior Pastors of Christian Conquest. At the end of 2018, Pastor Dale, still a member of DC City Church, transitioned out of the pastorate into business and international ministry. Minister Belinda Gaskins continues on in the ministry and is honored as Founder.
Now, a new chapter has begun. Oh how we wait to see how God will continue to advance The Word of God Church into a greater Christian Conquest as the City Church increases in Washington, D.C. and beyond.
